Core Values

 

We who are called to worship and serve in the body called Cornerstone Baptist Church believe we are to minister on Christ’s behalf while always keeping these seven core values in mind.

 

 

 

1.  We worship and serve the One, True, Living God, the God of the Bible.
     (Exodus 20:3, Matthew 22:37, John 4:24)

2.  The Bible is our guide in faith and practice.
     (James 1:18, Jeremiah 23:29, Isaiah 40:8)

3.  Because Jesus desires for His followers to multiply, we are committed to evangelism.
     (Matthew 25:14-30, 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)

4.  Like Jesus, we are committed to ministering to the whole person.
     (Luke 14:1-4, 1 John 3:17)

5.  People and their needs matter more than things.
     (Luke 16, 1 John 3:17)

6.  Prayer makes us stronger both individually and corporately.
     (Philippians 4:6, John 15:16, Luke 11:11-13)

7.  Believers grow when given the opportunity to use their spiritual gifts.
     (Ephesians 2:10, 4:11-12)
